Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a highly effective treatment approach that works with the body, mind, energy and spirit to initiate deep, long-lasting healing and life changes. It has its origins in traditional “shamanic” healing practices across the world throughout history, and has been studied and validated extensively.

“Hypnotherapy is the practice of psychotherapy with a client who is in the hypnotic altered state of consciousness. Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to access the source of distress, like depression and anxiety, and for people to reconnect with dissociated emotions and disowned parts of themselves. Hypnotherapy helps therapists and clients get closer to the source of a client’s issues by opening the doorway to their subconscious mind”.

What to expect:

Typically the hypnotherapy sessions I facilitate take 1 1/2 hours, and the client is lying down. That said, much of the techniques can be implemented in shorter “hybrid” psychotherapy sessions.

At a fundamental level, hypnosis is nothing but a state of deep relaxation and clear focus that utilizes the power of the mind and the wisdom of the body. A person in hypnosis is always aware, in control and can hear what is going on around them. While undergoing hypnotherapy, people are able to communicate with the therapist and express needs.

As a hypnotherapist, I facilitate a hypnotic trance state and then carefully guide you into your subconscious mind-body to access and release trauma, stuck energy,  faulty beliefs, unhealthy attachments, and varied root causes of suffering. Through a variety of techniques including relaxation, trance state, guided imagery, grounding, past-life regression, soul retrieval, somatics, and subtle energy I help you access quick, deep forms of healing and integration that are often not available to the conscious mind.

At all times I trust and heed the wisdom of your body and deeper knowing. The healing process unfolds exactly as it needs to, in the order and time that works best for your system’s needs.

Hypnotherapy is effective at treating a wide variety of mental and psychosomatic issues, often after just a few sessions. It can be used to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, compulsions, unhealthy habits, grief, chronic illness, and more.
