Psychotherapy is an invaluable opportunity to be witnessed, validated, guided, and instructed by a caring and competent mental health professional who has your well-being always in mind.
My counseling approach is best described as holistic somatic psychotherapy, in that I start with the premise that we are each unique humans in dynamic bodies with nervous systems, existing in a complex web of relationships.
While I do talk therapy and it is often a part of the work, I am trained in a truly holistic science-based and trauma-informed approach that utilizes a carefully curated formula of breathwork, somatic release, meditation, hypnotherapy, and EMDR – plus nutrition, herbalism, and lifestyle support – with just enough talk therapy to bring it all together. Through these profoundly effective approaches clients gently uncover and release stuck trauma, stress, and shame from the mind-body, reprogram old belief systems, release repressed emotions, and heal deep woundings so they can live with more long-lasting ease, energy, joy and empowerment.
In session, I tap into the deeper workings of each person’s unique human system – focusing on body awareness, nervous system rewiring and regulation, energy release, grounding, boundaries, and tools to strengthen the “wise self”. This approach supports clients to feel healthier and more at ease, have a better relationship with their body, be more calm and present, and feel more energy, pleasure, clarity, and confidence.
The talk-therapy I offer is fundamentally human-centered and strength-based, utilizing (but not limited to) the following modalities: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Existential Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology
Typical sessions are 50 minutes.
